Myspace buys Photobucket

Photobucket がMyspaceに買収されるもよう。MySpaceはご存知の通り News Corporationに買収されたSNS.
Lehman BrothersはPhotoBucketに「最低$300m」の値札をつけていたらしいが
最終的には$250mだったらしい。
ちなみにHitwiseによるとPhotobucketのトラフィックはFlickrをはるかに引き離して一位。
（個人的には肌感覚に合わないデータだけど、MySpaceユーザの影響が大きいもよう）
しかしValleywag、なぜこんなことまで知っている。。。（笑）

Googleは$1.65 billion(株で）YouTubeに支払った。株価が上がったので買収時には$1.8 billion近くになっていた。 Photobucketは$250 millionなのでそのたった1/5相当。
買収発表時（October 2006）のYouTubeの売上げは殆どなかったのに比べてPhotobucketは$25 million 予定。
YouTubeが25 million U.S. monthly visitorsでPhotobucketは今日20 million U.S. monthly visitors。
Photobucketは40 million registered usersで一日85,000増えている。
YouTubeの当時のユーザ数ははるかに少なかった。
YouTubeは$67 per unique visitorでPhotobucketはたった$13.
